Pros

- dedicated employees - good team environment - encourage individual growth - 401k match - given a lot of responsibility

Cons

- VP or higher management has little to no engineering experience - Management lacks basic engineering and quality knowledge - Hostility towards RA/QA when their actions are contrary to Sales, Marketing, R&D, or Operations - feedback not in-line with the popular consensus results negatively - cherry picked numbers for quality and operations to look good for management; opposed to showing numbers that show the reality - must be "yes man" to promote

Pros

Great peers to work with Up until a year ago there had been no layoffs Products made by company help save lives

Cons

-Compensation is unfair, particularly to the worker bee. And is not properly distributed within company. A college student is unable to pay their rent with what you make not to mention the student loans you probably have and car payment/insurance. Does not provide even the minimum for cost of living. Promotional and performance raises do not give much reason to stay on for promises in the future. -110% is expected from employees. So many people plain burn out. The compensation doesn't match the hard work being performed. -Tardy/absent policy is a nickel & diming policy. (Just 1 second late you get an occurrence.) -When it comes to performance reviews, there is more concerned with a couple absences and tardies (by less then a minute) then the actual great job they say you are doing. - Poor encouragement to properly balance home life with work life.

Pros

The company has a number of significant businesses with strong market positions. They also have the ability to highly compensate the sales force, which attracts a large base of talented prospective employees.

Cons

The management unfortunately has a strong "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" mentality. This stems from strategic incompetence and generally poor leadership and business savvy. People who are making the decisions have been around for decades, reward people like themselver, and unfortunately are out of touch with the changing realities of the healthcare industry.
