Pros

The people who have worked there their whole careers love it. Beautiful facilities, decent pay, remote work available.

Cons

No real onboarding. Almost everyone else has been there 10+ years. It can take a while to learn what's going on, but if you don't catch on right away or you have a different approach, you'll pretty immediately become a black sheep. Say they want to be a global company but aren't willing to slow down to do the work and strategy to become truly global. Say they are a relationship-based company, but they really mean "network-based." People don't talk through strategy, goals and issues to solve business problems; it's all about reputation and who you're connected with. If someone doesn't like your approach, rather than seek to understand and discuss what they're looking for, they go to leadership about you. Went through 6 interviews to get this position. Was worried the company culture was going to be too intense or insular, and I should have listened to my gut.
