CEO has a lot to learn

Pros

They have very few clients currently, so your workday is not very busy with clients and is more focused on staff training.

Cons

CEO has a dual relationship with the office manager, who is unprofessional. The CEO has no experience with ABA Clinical practice or working with insurance. No healthcare benefits.

Pros

BCBAs are on the floor. You walkie them if you have questions or can message them on central reach. You are exposed to a variety of clients which really helps with learning and implementing different ABA interventions. Paid RBT 40 hr training course/ test. They implement PEAK, ESDM, VBMAPP so you learn a lot. Team meetings are every Thursday. If a client is late or doesn’t show up that day it doesn’t affect your pay. You still receive your hourly pay and get “office time” to help with things needed or to work on 40 hr training course. You get a 30 min lunch break. They have a staff reinforcement system you can cash in SOS bucks for money/ gift cards/ longer lunch/ snacks/ merch etc. You get your own iPad, 4 scrub tops and 1 t shirt which is nice. They have several in service days to working on training. They use safety care which is ABA based.

Cons

Some interns lack rapport building skills with adults which makes it super awkward and uncomfortable when they are observing you. At least that was my experience with one of the interns. Not everyone is helpful. All women RBTs and BCBAs with the exception of one male BCBA. Some women are just not nice. You are going to have 6-8 clients a day with some of those sessions being only 30 minutes. You’re expected to have those sessions converted by end of day or you can’t leave which is understandable but when you have multiple 30 min sessions it’s just not ideal. Especially if your client has a toileting protocol in place to sit on the toilet every 30-60 mins.
