Pros

Suffolk has a great culture. Employees are friendly, knowledgeable and caring. Management is genuinely concerned about their employees, their development, and their personal lives. Management is also open to constructive feedback, and (to some degree) willing to adapt (or at least listen). It would take a lot for me to want to leave this company.

Cons

My only complaint is the working remotely possibilities are very limited. From someone that spends 98% of their time working independently and in front of a computer, it is perplexing as to why there are not more options to work remotely. There is an "up to 20%" policy in place, however, it is up to your direct manager, and it is often not allowed.

Pros

I loved working at Suffolk, the benefits are great and they make sure you have everything you need to get the job done. They have alot days off. Great Health Insurance and 401K. They have great programs to help employees and the community and alot of volunteer opportunities.

Cons

The only con I have is that I had a bad situation with the Highest Accounting and due to that I did not get an opportunity to transfer to a Project Accountant position even though I had all the requirements needed. The company did well by me in the situation but the Accounting Dept did not give me an opportunity due to their Highest Accounting being fired even though he was at fault. But this is a man’s world and even women push you aside if its convenient for them.
