Racism and bias fueled by leadership

Pros

Employees day to day are nice and easy to get along with.

Cons

Executive leaders are only interested in diversifying their workforce for the sake of being compliant with local stakeholders . The experience of employees who identify as anything other than cis white men or women, are often negative, and go unaddressed. This is primarily seen in pay disparities amongst women and POC who see significantly less pay than their white male counterparts. The firm also disbanded BRGs aimed to support POC and the LGBTQ+ community. The former dept. for DE&I was also deconstructed with several employees from this team being laid off. Growth opportunities for women and POC (in all departments) are also less likely, and awarded based on favoritism.

Suffolk remains committed to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, and actively works to support diverse communities, internally and externally. Our BRGs also remain active and engaged, and we are proud that employees at all levels participate and lead our LGBTQ+, Black/Persons of Color, and Veteran Groups. We invite you to connect directly with Nick Dhimitri, Executive Vice President, External Affairs, who leads these efforts alongside our DEI team and BRGs. You can contact Nick at NDhimitri@suffolk.com.
