Summa Health System reviews

Summa actively promotes the youngest, newest hires and lets the older nurses languish in jobs they don't want. Seniority "isn't a consideration" in transfers and promotions. Summa consistently gives RN's three times the number of patient's they should be assigned. Summa has had multiple acuity systems in place to determine staffing levels but have gotten rid of every one. They will never staff according what is safe or appropriate. There is no limit to what an RN is expected to do. The workloads are abusive. Most Rn's and respiratory therapists haven't had a break since they were hired.
