Pros
Relatively deep pockets for strategic investment. Teams are typically small enough to retain interpersonal relationships.
Cons
People only worried about their silos. No regard for downstream IT or user impact. The current CIO is a seller/politician with little to no interest in anything other than making himself look good and keeping his job. He is just a bureaucrat trying to keep his job. It will be good when his 5-year contract expires. HR selectively enforces policy. Your rank determines if a policy applies to you. Due process is different based on your race. Benefits are substandard and expensive. PTO is slim, and they claw it all back if you leave (all but 40 hours). Only six holidays (paid out of pto)
