Pros

The people are amazing, very open minded and understanding. There is huge potential for continued growth as CMMC enforcement rolls out, Summit is leading what is a constantly evolving environment, flexibly changing and establishing new things as the landscape changes. Very exciting stuff.

Cons

Since nothing with CMMC is finalized, there are no set processes to follow, so if you cannot extrapolate from incomplete data you will have a bad time.

Pros

Working at Summit 7 as the PR and Events Manager has been a fantastic step in my career. In a short amount of time, I’ve been able to dive into my role and really make a difference. The work we do is important, and it feels great to be part of a team that’s committed to our clients’ success. One of my favorite parts of the job is meeting new people and making connections. I’ve had the chance to travel to various tradeshows, which has been both professionally enriching and a lot of fun. As a parent, I also appreciate how supportive Summit 7 is of my family life. The company’s flexibility helps me balance work and home, which makes a big difference. Overall, the environment at Summit 7 is collaborative and positive. I’m grateful for the opportunities I’ve had here and look forward to what’s next.

Cons

The very fast-paced environment with quickly evolving changes means you need to be very organized and able to pivot quickly to be successful. This dynamic keeps things exciting!

Pros

- No micro-managing - Good healthcare - Flexible schedule - Good learning opportunity - Niche business clients with little-to-no competitors, so they will likely continue to grow

Cons

- Pay is consistently 20% under market average for similar jobs. - No centralized systems. Very disorganized across all levels of management with no signs of improvement. - Heavy workload for MSP side, not enough employees to assist. Likely a management improper use of resources issue. - MSP side is heavily relying on 2-3 individuals, which would outright fail if they left. - Talks about good ideas, but never implements them (or does so poorly). - If there were more competitors, they would likely lose clients. I would never want to use this business as a MSP due to SLA breaches, standing up clients on scheduled calls, and poor billing practices.
