Pros

We have a very positive work environment. All voices and ideas are considered and appreciated. Quality and administrative tools for success have been provided with corporate oversight: Tiered Communication System, Team Assurance, 8-D CAPA, LEAN Mfg, etc. Corporate leadership is driving leading edge technology advancement and providing tools to position Summit Interconnect as the leader in high technology PCB / Electronics Manufacturing.

Cons

Interactions with Sales and Account Management can trend toward negative at times. There is a tendency for very swift escalation to Sr. management without a full understanding of the facts or background from the persons directly involved with the customer or project. This escalation and negative overtone do not serve to strengthen our collective performance, nor does it support trust and a cohesive team environment. This may be something to focus on improving / changing for the future.

Pros

I value that Summit consistently strives to improve and be at the forefront of technology, provides opportunities for growth and change, and offers medical benefits and 401K contribution/match. Working relationships and collaboration is also important. I enjoy being a part of a company that manufactures parts that make a difference in the modern world.

Cons

The training at Summit needs to be improved. I have heard this from many people, it is not just my perception. There is a lot of disconnect between departments and lack of communication overall. Even with the best intentions, the rollout of changes within the company have been poorly executed at times.

Pros

Summit is a fast-growing company, offering plenty of opportunities for new employees to demonstrate their potential. If you can show your value, it’s a great place to grow and make an impact.

Cons

1. Make Summit become """"Interconnect"""", more integrated across sites through shared FEE, Quality, and Processing knowledge and know-how libraries. The goal is a centralized team with stronger cross-support—enabling faster execution, improved quality, and reduced labor. 2. Rapid growth is positive, but growing too fast can create internal challenges. One major challenge is establishing solid procedures for each department and fostering a supportive culture. I like the quote, 'Fix the system, don’t blame the individuals!'— a stronger system leads to fewer human errors.
