      - high performance culture built on friendship and kindness of colleagues, even with management - active employee engagement is a priority - everyone is part of really good work which aims to help people improve their lives - generous benefits - people stay for stability, work-life balance, until retirement

      - some financial advisors have an attitude problem, are rude to head office employees - career progression in IT is slow compared to other internal departments and other IT companies - management prefers to hire externally instead of developing and promoting their own people

      Sun Life Financial has a superb workplace culture that's very supportive, positive, and constructive. There are many different types of opportunities within this company and people are always looking to find out what you're good at and keep an eye out for opportunities that they think would be a good fit for you.

      Cons

      Overall Sun Life is a great place to work and there are not many downsides that I experienced personally while I was there. While communication can sometimes take up more time than expected, this is normal for a company of its size.
