Pros

Canadian company with overall good life balance

Cons

Terrible compensation package Extreme amount of changes from direct and upper management Lack of promotion and professional growth. Undergraduates have a better chance to advance their careers faster than those with real world experience. Morale is extremely low - even the cafeteria used to be great

Pros

Fun people to work with, benefits are comparable to others in the industry, vacation is above average, salary is about average, change provides opportunities only in some areas

Cons

Happiness and work satisfaction is very dependent on the area you work in. CEO of the U.S. Division is practically invisible. Constant change can wear out employees, little acknowledgment and possibilities to advance

Pros

I have worked for other large (even bigger than Sun Life) Fortune 100 insurance and financial companies, and none of the companies have benefit packages close to what Sun Life offers. Employee benefits is SOLELY their business in the U.S., so it's no surprise the superior benefits that are offered. For those who claim salaries are not competitive; you get what you negotiate. I worked for a company praised for "competitive" salaries, and I make 25% more at Sun Life.

Cons

The U.S. headquarters is not a fancy building. To be named as the U.S. headquarters, I expected a top-notch facility.
