Pros

Relatively easy work.. Customers are usually easy to deal with, plenty of overtime from spring to fall. Good benefits, but pricey

Cons

Pay scale is crap. Mgrs will tell you they cant do anything for you. Raises are not performance based, they are based on how the manager decides to divvy up his "yearly budgeted raise allowance" Upper management has no clue hat goes on at the store level. All they can see are the numbers, and as long as the numbers look good, they dont see any problems. Training for new employees is bs. they just stick you on the computer for a couple of days, and then put you in your job position and expect everyone around you to pick up the slack untill you figure it out or quit. Managers get no training at all, are just thrown into the position and expected to perform. It is almost impossible to become a Manager unless you do sales first, and If someone doesnt like you, you wont even get interviewed for a different position. Fear of losing your job in retaliation for speaking out when mgmt does something wrong.Always understaffed and over worked.

Pros

You will receive a pay check every two weeks.Overtime helps pay the bills and is a must because the pay rate is not up to par,not really one of the pros but its the truth.

Cons

You are only an extension of the rental equipment and treated the same, sunbelt does not value there employees even after almost 10 years of service, and being one of the best drivers sunbelt has.It is well known that i am one of the best and safest drivers within the company and less than .50 cents a year is the reward I have received. The managers keep the bonuses to them selves and brag about how much your profit center has done that month and then tell the employees they are cutting over time when you are already working at max capacity. You read this correct, the stores are called profit centers if that doesn't say all.In the past months it has been the worst, sunbelt has cut every ones pay i.e profit share, and over time so the share holders can hit the 1.4 billion dollar net profit mark. With such low pay we count on over time to pay our bills .division manager rules with an iron fist and scare tactics,it is his way and that is final. It is sad how long i have worked here, working countless 14 hour days and coming in to work at three or four in the morning to deliver equipment sunbelt had promised to customers.I feel like I have failed, but it is sunbelt that has failed me .Hope this is read by by the ceo MR. HORGAN. Sunbelt could be so much better than this.Greed will destroy a company.Moving on to self employment wish me luck.

Pros

Excellent pay, transportation pay, benefits, wonderful management staff, fast past liquid product to move. Outdoor work environment, good customers, co-workers were great to work with.

Cons

When I was originally hired the company was NationsRent. There was a purchase of NationsRent by Sunbelt. Many structural issues changed. Pay, benefits, what was sold. Also, in the midst of the transition I was in an work related accident. The transition was made difficult by the recovery of the accident. While I wasn't fired, I was looked at very hard. Interestingly, many of the Sunbelt folks no longer are employees at Sunbelt and the NationsRent management staff are in charge. I say yay. They are wonderful people. I know the upper management and deserve it. While it didn't work out for me, I am glad it worked out for my former co-workers.
