Pros

The people. Not just are they great to work with on a personal level, but just about everyone in this group is a high performer. It's refreshing to see a company with the systems in place to hire competent and incredibly talented people. Quality over quantity. These guys have a great reputation for a reason, and obviously the employees agree (see Glassdoor ratings for example). Other pros: - Company constructs diverse range of projects - Sundt is fairly generous with ESOP contributions - semiannual performance-based bonuses - subsistence/per diem when away from home - consistency in the software/programs utilized throughout the company

Cons

- It may be time to upgrade a specific software program (I believe they're working on this) - No HDHP with HSA option - PTO allowance seems below average, plus they don't carry over each year

Pros

I am pleased with the level of camaraderie and internal support that exists. I honestly feel like my coworkers have my back and I have access to all levels of the organization. The ESOP structure also adds what amounts to 15% to your salary, tax free, and is portable. The benefits package is also very competitive. I would have to ask for $30,000 more at a comparable company to make up the difference.

Cons

Like every large company, there is a fair bit of organizational turmoil that seems to occur on an annual cycle. It is annoying and sometimes unsettling, but not to the point of negatively impacting the work. The message can sometimes be over-engineered when it finally gets out to staff

Pros

Commitment to improvement and growth of the company; hires high quality individuals compared to some firms I've seen; very diverse service offering. Fairly organized approach.

Cons

Because of large project size and market penetration, most projects involve travel for many of the positions. Hopefully repeat business in multiple regions will improve as firm grows so the employee base can grow and stabilize.
