      One of the better part time retail jobs out there

      Pros

      Yearly free pair of glasses up to $500 is great, a small discount on contact lenses, job is fairly straight forward, no clothing to fold and you get to work with great higher end brands like Gucci, Prada etc.

      Cons

      Performance measurements are sometimes unrealistic and do not account for factors out of your control. RMs often mistreat the managers, which sets an overall bad mood in the store itself. They go through what many of us refer to as "flavours of the year" when it comes to store behaviours/expectations.

      Pros

      The discount it nice and the work load is extremely light. Management really only has to make schedules, month end paperwork and audit monthly receipts. Shipments are small and typically come with new product which is exciting. I had a really great team I worked with which made things more enjoyable. You can be prompted very fast, I started as a pt sales and worked into a Store Manager position within a year. Commission was awesome if you work in a high volume store. Minimal supervision/touch base with Regionals which is a pro and con

      Cons

      Management Salary is extremely low but the role is essentially a glorified sales associate. payroll hours are very minimal. They had no marketing strategies to bring business in to smaller volume stores which resulted in associates and managers not making goal/commissions. You can work alone and can not take 15 min breaks or lunch breaks (which is illegal) Not a very inspiring place to work I saw some people who did not truely deserve promotions take on larger rolls for being a kiss ass No loss prevention techniques
