      They expect you to always be at work even on your off days and there are no pay increases

      Pros

      The company’s success is attributed to its core values of honesty, integrity and trust,which is embodied in its mission statement. I am a US Air Force veteran and I can say I proudly wear the Sunstates uniform. I have gained the respect of my company, my client, and co-workers.

      Cons

      The pay is good if you location contract is good. You have to make your voice heard and stand behind your core values and you will get attention. Need better on site leadership and communication and training.

      The management is horrible

      Pros

      Easy work at some sites.Other sites are horrible and could care less about the guards.

      Cons

      Pay is horrible 9.50 hr. since starting in 2010 and that's part time.Most of the other guards I work with have second jobs.Management doesn't want you working 40 hr. most guys I work with are part time and that's by design from management. I'm fortunate because I'm a retired cop.You can't get uniforms from this sorry company and yet if management catches you out of uniform they will write you up. It wouldn't surprise me if in the future this company gets brought out by a bigger security company Sunstates Security is very small compared to other companies.they only have 800 employees
