Pros

I feel the general pros are: great opportunity in advancement (if security work is your thing), online training is wonderful, pay is good depending on how much work you choose to give yourself, you get whatever clothes you need/want for $250 and you hardly notice the $30 deductible every paycheck and you get a lot of chances to work overtime

Cons

Cons in no particular order: almost every single officer (aside from a few) hates their job, a lot of people call out unexpectedly and that means you get to stay over until whoever relieves you gets around to actually showing up, site supervisors are super relaxed and let most employers get away with murder, rushed 24 hour training, you either get lots and lots of exercise from all the walking you do or gain weight from sitting on your bum the entire time.... it's not glamorous, exciting nor is it as prestigious as the company makes themselves sound.... tons of mismanagement

Pros

None for this job, find better options

Cons

*manager takes forever to do what you asked *pay is low, needs to be more since it takes time to travel to the job site *needs better benefits (5 days of PTO is not enough & THERE IS NO SICK TIME). These 5 days are for you sicktime, vacation, and whatever, and they last until they decide to give you more time. I've been here for 2 years now, so let that sink in. *Upper management seriously needs new people who actually care and know what they are doing, without shifting blame or onus to someone else They are just an all-around horrid company to work for, in my opinion. Form your own if you apply, but I will say the turnaround is even worse.

Pros

Great regional leadership, amazing group of peers, job autonomy, selective client base, amazing team of supervisors and officers. The job itself has been a fantastic experience.

Cons

The pay. It’s below what an experienced operations manager should make. WELL below, and with no hope on the horizon, as we’re all subjected to minimal 3% increases annually. That’d be fine IF we’re were up to par on the pay scale, but we’re not, so it’s a continuous struggle. Also feel unappreciated at the Corporate level. We’re told to encourage and praise our officers, and strive to get them pay increases (which is exactly what we SHOULD be doing, as they’re absolutely what drives our industry), but where’s the effort when it comes to Ops?
