Pros

Moving to new location in a better area..

Cons

The CEO thinks very, very highly of himself. Furthermore, he wonders around and tries to communicate with some of the employee base. Mostly, he brags about his past conquests and corporate successes at other companies. If he decides he does not like you, he will resort to public humiliation. He is loud and brash and creates a hostile environment. He finds glory in managing by intimidation. The product lines this company offers are very narrow. Essentially, glorified vending machines with a SW interface. Very little upside for the long term. Small customer base. No big picture thinking here. The CTO also thinks very highly of himself. He would rather spend precious company resources coding an ERP system than buying one. Ridiculous strategy. The company is marginally profitable and has little prospects to change that. Profit sharing is nonexistent and is any 401K matching. There are far, far better companies to work for in Sorrento Valley.

Pros

Some very nice people to work with. It is located is nice area and we are moving to a better building.

Cons

Sales have been declining. No 401K matching. "C" level officers in San Diego make every decision. People can't buy a pencil or make a decision without them approving it. CEO is arrogant and loud. He motivates by intimidation and uses could language, yelling at employees in the hallways. The turnover rate is one person a week. HUGE for a 80 person company. The CTO is a micro manager and does not understand delegation. He follows the CEO around like a puppy.

Pros

I got the training I needed for the job position and it went down smoothly. Honestly that's the only good thing I can say about this company.

Cons

This company doesn't care about their regular employees. They walk all over them and replace them the next day. When I came in I was told I was replacing someone who was leaving because that employee found a better job. Truth be told it was a lie. Other employees that have been there longer gave me the scoop that, that particular employee was fired. Sure this might sound like little typical work drama and gossip but I got to see it first hand. This company doesn't really "hire" a lot of the employees came to this company through recruiting agencies. This company sucks the new "hires" All come from staffing agencies. Meaning no benefits, and no opportunity of having a sick day if necessary or vacation time after working there for so long. This company basically waitS until Temps contracts are coming to an end so they can let them go and get a new one. The way this company works is ridiculous. There is no morale, a lot of the employees in this company have claimed they want to leave but can't unail they have all their ducks in a row. Meaning they are stuck and miserable. Believe me when I say I was miserable because I was. I took in so much slack from my superiors in hopes of getting hired, and possibly promoted but that didn't happen. I was there for almost half a year. There were moments when I just didn't want to show up but had to because I was also stuck like other employees. This supposedly inventory solutions company is a complete joke. If you are salary watch out for the mean CEO he will yell at you and not care if people can hear him across the halls or all the way downstairs. I have witnessed this firsthand with many employees. If you're up for this challenge best of luck.
