Pros

Working from the comforts of your home

Cons

Stressful, don't appreciate employee efforts; continually adding responsibilities and hiring new employees, but doesn't provide raises. Metrics driven. Not much room for advancement.

Pros

Work from home job really allows for one to be relaxed in their own environment.

Cons

Cap on hourly pay. With over 500 SE's a handful of TL's and supervisors there was not much room for advancement. The command staff and other depts. were being outsourced to other countries.

Pros

- Work from home - Full medical, dental, and vision - 401K - Wealth of knowledge to be learned - Great techs - The work ( I actually enjoy it ) A note: Even with the cons below, I would still recommend this company to a friend in need of a job. The company is at a very crucial point in its life and still has a chance to be one of the best tech support companies in North America. And let's face it, we live in hard times where it is sometimes extremely hard to find work. At the very least, this company offers steady work, medical insurance (thought high) and the ability to be close to your family while you do it.

Cons

- Most expenses that are considered benefits are offset to the employee, and because we already make so little, these cuts are drastic changes to our income. - Company has been promising raises for well over 5 years once they become profitable, but as they made it into the black, raises were denied. - Chances to move up in the company are slim when they are available. If you are not chosen for any reason, you are left waiting indefinitely for a response or until you hear the rumor mill churning on who made the cut. - Once you are promoted, you are given a reasonable wage increase, but if you happen to be in a category they deem ready for outsourcing, you will be demoted without warning and will have to re-apply for a promotion if one becomes available again. - Bonuses are now offered, but in the form of an inexpensive gift card or $200 if you're the top performer in the company - and once a quarter. - Holiday Pay has been changed from getting time and a half, to another form of sick/vacation time off. Which means they no longer have to pay us extra when making us work a holiday. - They do not allow you to treat this job as a career. Nor do they desire to have any relationship with their staff. You are there for them, they are not there for you - make no mistake about it. - Suggestion boxes and software ideas fall on deaf ears. If there are improvements, they are to fulfill client obligations, not workflow. - Shifts available for bid are many, but many intrusive schedules piled on top of one another. Having weekends off is scarce, which should be expected for our job. Once you get acclimated to your shift, however, don't expect it to be there in 3 months for the next shift bid. There is no constant shift. Shifts are variables, you're there to fill them. - Morale on the floor is at an all time low. Little to no encouragement or pump up meetings. No positive reinforcements besides the occasional and completely random performance awards. There are tons of negative reinforcement there to catch you when you fall, however. So there are ways to grab attention if you need some. - Values of this company have shifted from customer service satisfaction to cut throat profits. Outsourcing all sales and some tech services. The choice of cheap labor and poor choice of outsourcing companies has led to immoral selling tactics seemingly ignored by upper management.
