The goal is the product that are unique and permit to reach ITS market with best software product.

Cons

Management board has not an IT vision of what to do with all linked company and collaboration and communication suffer of this

Pros

relatively flat structure; quick decisions (depends on which swarco company though); have some good colleagues; stress level at most moderate no matter what; if you want to learn something just do it - provided you're not buried under a pile of projects ;-)

Cons

lack of discipline negatively influences morale; new urgent projects/tasks falling from blue sky kill productivity; information flow could be better (about new products - planned and released, people employed, etc)

A Great Place To Work, But Starting To Become Top Heavy

Pros

Swarco is made up of relatively small independent companies that are close knit and generally well managed. Employees enjoy a good sense of job security; and compensation is fair. It has the feel of a family run organization. Work-Life balance is good, benefits are good considering the size of the company, and the company feels stable.

Cons

Although compensation is fair, raises are few and far between. It almost feels like you are living on a fixed income. More troubling is that the parent company seems to be adding staff that adds little if any value at the local level, yet these individuals are asking for more and more information for "analysis" at the corporate level. This feels like the early stages of a successful manufacturing company that has generated a comfortable income for owners, managers, and employees but is now being taken over by financial managers with little practical experience in the trenches.
