Shifts are awful. A full 7 days of back shift, several more 6 day weeks, and finally a full week "on call". Take into account weekend working and 11pm finishes and kiss your social life goodbye. This ensures that they never keep staff for any real length of time and its mostly a stop-gap position.
A very inexperienced centre manager with almost no people skills past her immediate leaders. You may see her leave her office to go for a smoke, but thats about as friendly as it gets.
Everyday is the same negative emails from her, repeating what staff are doing wrong, yet not taking steps to train staff more or on how to deal with difficult/pushy customers.
She seems oblivious to not just what skills staff may be lacking, but indeed what they even are. Her lack of awareness is never more apparent than when she tells everyone what she got up to during her weekend. Yes, just what we want to hear as she adds a full week "on call" to rotas. I have to cancel my own plans, but let's hear about her Garden one more time.
A massive gap exists between recognition for doing well versus making a mistake - which is handled almost like a disciplinary. A punitive process as a result of incomplete and rushed training materials. They also dont know what a lot of employment laws and GDPR processes actually are. Theyre a lawsuit waiting to happen.
Finally, I caught ringworm, yes ringworm! Twice while working there, such are the missing and rushed cleaning habits born from fatigue and tiredness. The response was for me to come into work and I had to suggest home working so as not to pass it onto anyone else.
So honestly could not recommend. Needs more experience staff and its unfortunate that despite what's said when you start, the big focus is just on earning money. Even if that means working way more than the hours per week actually advertised.
