Pros

Some nice people (not in management though). Ok benefits- 18 PTO days and 401K match, good health insurance.

Cons

This company is stuck in the past! They don’t value you as an employee. If you have an emergency, like you’re in the hospital, get ready to deduct PTO. Doctor’s appointment? Deduct PTO. Hurricane damaged your house? Deduct PTO. There is no compassion whatsoever. If you have a family, this company sees work as your top priority and family as the bottom one. Some departments have a hard time getting vacation approved by their supervisor because of all the turnover leaving no one to be a backup if you take vacation. Micromanagement in many departments; managers take all credit for their employees work. The energy is awful and employees walk around looking unhappy. If you try to have a friendly conversation with someone that’s not work related outside of lunch hours, you’ll get dirty looks. And HR is a joke... if you complain about your boss mistreating you, YOU will be fired. This place runs like a dictatorship; no one has a voice and everyone is afraid to speak up in fear of losing their job.

Pros

The people you work with here are great people. Most of the companies employees are not born in America, and they are all hard working people. They deserve to be treated better financially. You get 50% off watches but that’s the same discount they give to jewelry stores and watch-house companies. If you need to service your watch you get 50% off, but they give jewelry stores and watch houses %60 off. Seems to me they treat the jewelry stores/watchhouses better than their own employees. I can get a better deal or the same from one of the jewelry store/watchhouses that work with Swatch US knowing they get the same price. If your in sales you love this company. They give the sales representatives 20K bonus a year. You could have a GED education and make 120K a year and don’t know how a watch works, functions, if its mechanical or quarts. There is so much income coming up from other departments, like watch services, there is enough money to go around to all sales representatives. Most of the sales representatives are born in America. Working hours are less than 4hrs a day with 2 hour lunches.

Cons

THERE IS NO ANNUAL ADJUSTMENT TO INFLATION SO SALARY YOUR DOES NOT CHANGE. Some departments are pushed for higher & higher production but no incentives. Employees are stressed-out because of production and get nothing for it. With the amount of volume of work there should be enough money for EVERYONE to get an inflation adjustment of +3% on their salary plus a yearly bonus, but this not happen. This is a dead end job. No company culture. Not a Swiss company but an affiliated with Swatch Group in Switzerland. Every Swatch Group is there own entity in that country. Swatch Groups in Europe are paid higher wages and treated better than in USA. Every year they take something away or change something, example: changed to a cheaper Health Insurance company, took away some holidays (MLK day), limited to amount of watches you buy from discount which you cant sell until you leave the company. Upper management are all sales people and only take care of sales people. Upper management doesn’t think watchmaking / polishing is a profession or skill.

Pros

None! Ok, maybe the hourly! but it will not balance at the end because no sales, no commission ! Not worth it!

Cons

Terrible Management! They don't appreciate good employees! CEO's all are terrible! They hardly do their job and instead of upbringing their staff they depressed them with one monthly email. The Co. should focus on manufacturing and wholesaling, they suck at Retail. The actual owners are nice people but had entrusted the wrong individuals, They should get rid off all of them and save their money. I sold their watches better at Macy's than at Tourbillon. I was for most parts the only one with good numbers, but they fired all of us! Then their Managers gossiped enough that we can not get another job in the same industry. Some of us had being in the same industry for more than 20 years. The hourly sometimes may be good but be aware that no commissions may be coming, sales are very hard in this Co., other retailers have better results.
