Pros

Staff was lovely, patients were lovely.

Cons

Admin and higher ups were covered in scandal. We were encouraged to keep things from coming out that would affect PR for the hospital.

Pros

*amazing staff/teamwork, charge nurses are approachable and very willing to help. Even other departments are very approachable (I.e RT/PT/OT/SLP, nutrition, CM) *float pay, including higher for floating to different campuses *overtime pay *self schedule *managers are professional and care for your career advancement *PTO/sick time accuracy increases with the amount of years served. I know nurses who have to take PTO or they’ll max out and lose it *intensivists are approachable, go on first-name basis, and like to teach *easy transition to different departments via fellowship programs *ICU dayshift rounds if very inclusive with all team members joining (including RT, PT/OT, dietician, CM) *seems up to date with best practices *nurse autonomy *great leave benefits like if you’re having a baby/needing to be a caregiver. *Back up through bright horizons *if it’s noted in the union contract, it’ll be honored. You can find most of your answers there *break nurses. Fair patient ratios

Cons

*pay vs cost of living is low *pay for parking *I’ve heard the med surg floors can have poor teamwork and support from their charge nurses. *I’ve heard of poor support of the managers at cherry hill campus CVICU and telemetry

Pros

Compensation is okay. Insurance is decent.

Cons

Upper leadership doesn't support management; HR bends to the Unions and tolerates poor employee behavior; it's impossible to hold staff accountable to absentee policies. Lack of administrative resources for managers; Managers are spread thin; There is minimal IT resources further burdening managers.
