Sweetser is undergoing some necessary changes to ensure its future and ability to provide quality treatment, support and hope to all Mainers. It is meaningful to work in an organization that truly makes a difference in the lives of so many.

Cons

Sweetser is a nearly 200 year old organization and can be slow to adopt new practices.

There are some great front line workers employed there who are trying to make a difference in the lives of others.

Cons

The employees at Sweetser where who Sweetser was. The culture being fostered from senior leadership is you are a cog in the wheel of a big machine that doesn’t really matter. We can get more cogs or even go without certain parts and still work.
