Bangor Program Is The WORST!!!!

Pros

The clients are really great. The benefits are pretty good but really expensive. All of the Sweetser programs are great (except for the Bangor program). Some of the staff really care about clients and work endless hours.

Cons

-The Senior Management has no experience how to run disabled adult group homes and the clients/staff suffer because of that. -Very Very low pay compared to other employers. They pay half of what Kid’s Peace and other similar companies pay. -Dishonest management that sits all day in the office and never comes out to the group homes anymore to see how bad some of the staff are treating some the clients or how dirty some of the group homes are. -They are so desperate for DSP and supervisor staff that they let people keep their jobs who are doing things like sleeping on the job and not doing good client care.

Pros

Passionate and engaged colleagues in the BHH Peer Program.

Cons

Was severely misinformed about the conditions under which I gave my notice. They terminated my health insurance a full three weeks before my given notice date and did not inform me. I only found out when my healthcare providers told me that my insurance was being rejected. They also shorted me a week's pay and neglected to fix the mistake when I reached out. I was encouraged to give a 30-day notice and was then only paid for a two-week notice.
