The vacation time offered is above the norm. There was never a time when I needed or wanted a day off and couldn't take it.

Cons

Management does not have a very good grasp on what staff really need so that they can do a good job with the clients. On paper yes but not IRL.

Pros

Rewarding work. The staff is wonderful to work with and all the Youth and Family Counselors are obviously not there for the paycheck and very clearly are there for the goal of helping the kids.

Cons

Often Understaffed and very stressful environment. Very often you do not feel as though you are compensated well enough for the demands of the job. You are almost guaranteed to get compassion fatigue in this job.

It is hard to say, none for me.

Cons

Dangerous situation all around. Consistant errors with meds, eventually, soneone is going to be seriously ill. Residents assaulting other residents and staff. At least 3xs a week police intervention - who then refise to help/support. I was threatened and never taken seriously, told, it's the job. When a resident attempted to swing (and missed), I gave my notice. They are just showing these, already out of control kids, there are no consequences.
