A Good Place to Work

Pros

Overall, this is an awesome place to work. The competency level of the average employee is extremely high here, which makes getting things done effectively easier, along with making the work environment more enjoyable. I also think Sweetwater does a good job with work/live balance. The flexibility to self manage my time to handle errands or business outside of work is great. The intangibles like the medial clinic are great too. It's hard to put a price on the value something like having a doctor available for the average "under the weather" kinds of things.

Cons

There aren't a lot of downsides. Sometimes it feels like there pay inequity within a department and it would be nice if the playing field were more even.

Pros

Sweetwater is an excellent place to work especially if you are just starting your career. The atmosphere is fast paced and you get to quickly learn and apply skills on the job as soon as you start. I can't speak for all the managers but the majority of management staff I've worked with like to be hands off as long as you prove you can do the work and are reliable. Besides the on-site amenities (Clinic, Salon, Gym, Cafeteria) we have a pretty involved HR team that has been making a lot of strides to provide other services that really help out in our day to day.

Cons

At the end of the day this comes down to what you are looking for in a job but the main one is compensation. The pay is generally at or slightly below the rest of the industry. If you want to make jumps in pay it generally requires you to make department leaps. Other than that the job is what you make it.
