      Good company, some people have an old Swiss-style management

      Pros

      Many opportunities available, very wealthy company. Had some fantastic bosses. Many opportunities for training available. Medium size make it easy to get to know many people in the company. Love the lunch culture at HQ -- great cafeteria food, plus fantastic chance for internal networking.

      Cons

      Some departments are run by old-style Swiss management, which can be a little chauvinistic. Some long-time employees have trouble accepting change -- and Swiss Re has undergone dramatic change in the past 10 years.

      Great compensation, opportunities to learn, diversity in profiles offered, quality international training programs offered.

      Lack of entrepreneurial spirit, especially at the lower levels.
