Pros

Swiss Re has a decent name recognition, the compensation and benefits are excellent, it is a global company that facilitates movement across continents, and there is an incredible number of very smart and well-educated people to meet.

Cons

The senior management in my department was not good, most of the senior managers lacked basic social skills and were not people I could see myself have a beer with after work. Career advancement seemed to be largely based on nepotism instead of merit.
