Pros

Meeting new people at work everyday.

Cons

EVERYTHING! This is the worst company ever, and their management for the Korean Airlines desk at Dulles is laughable AT BEST! First, its extremely clique-ish....so immature, unprofessional managers rise from this cesspool of sad, misguided, unprofessionalism to become no less than sad, ineffective, unprofessional managers who protect and defend their favorites and create a hostile work environment for those who don't fit into their protected class of misfits. Also, the training program for new agents is, well....IT JUST ISN'T! Managers actually tell you to "figure it out for yourself," or "this isn't the right job for you.....you're too educated." Well, if being "educated" means professionalism and identifying gaps (or in this case a complete ABSENCE of professionalism or training), then yes....perhaps I am. This is truly a hostile work environment and the saddest part is...they expect people to accept it, ALL FOR THE SUM OF $11/HOUR. I highly discourage anyone from working at this company, or from any other company from contracting their services!!! The word "BAD" does not do the Korean Airline aspect of Swissport justice....its TERRIBLE!

Pros

There are some quality people that work with Swissport and that have been in the industry with this company for 10,15,20+ years. My initial thought was this was a good sign; people tend not to leave.

Cons

There is a strong attempt by corporate to standardize globally, which is often times very unrealistic because of regional differences. The company is constantly pushing and pushing for more and more out of it's people without any compensation (cancelling annual pay raises and bonuses, but expecting people to work longer hours)

Managers are horrible

Pros

The pay is good $18.50 right off the bat. They give you free uniforms.

Cons

Management treats their hardworking employees like crap, while the lazy workers get no penalties. They say if you miss a certain amount of days you get write ups and then terminated, but some people have disappeared for weeks just to return whenever and work as usual. People miss multiple days of work throughout the week, and are still employed. They make you use a pass to go to the restroom like it’s middle school, and we only get a 30 minute lunch break. Managers also don’t help with packages, even when a truck or plane is about to be late, yet they complain about late departure times. Lastly, even when we get things done on time, the managers still lecture and are unappreciative.
