Pros

Ask anyone of these folks, even those former employees that wrote some not so positive reviews, and they will tell you that the people and the opportunity are the best part of this organization. The opportunity to earn and grow is endless, and it is truly exciting to be able to build your own path. Most of the people are always striving for success, for themselves and their team - which is rare in a competative industry. There truly is such a great team atmosphere! Despite what some reviews say, I do beleive leadership does listen to employees and looks to find ways to implement great ideas that will further the company and its people. Last year was an extremely challenging year financially, coupled with the change in leadership, it definitely has some people feeling a sort of way. Change is hard, and when a company is not doing well, things have to be switched up to ensure success of the organization. Some people don't like that and I would challenge that these people are probably NOT the top performers, and more likely the average or bottom tier employees who are being asked to do more and are frustrated because they are not willing to, or can't. That's all fair, but having a bit of self reflection on if its the company, or perhaps your goals are no longer aligned with the organization. This job is most peoples first professional role, even those that have been here for 7-8 years and are in leadership, and it shows in some of these reviews.

Cons

Communicate can be better. Swoon has a nasty habit of trying to move super quick with changes. Although the changes, for the most part seem to produce the desired result, it can give a bit of whip lash when things are immediately changed without any opportunity for feedback or absorbtion. Agility is key, but the reactivity to challenges can leave sour tastes in peoples mouths. Swoon promotes people who were good at hitting metrics or have been at the company for a certain amount of time... but all these people arn't necessarily great leaders. With little leadership training and coaching, these middle leaders are getting disgruntled and their frustration is leaking into their teams.

Pros

Positive and Inclusive Culture: Swoon truly excels in fostering a positive and inclusive work culture. Teamwork and collaboration are highly encouraged, creating a supportive environment where everyone's contributions are valued. Emphasis on Growth Opportunities: One of Swoon's strengths lies in its commitment to employee development. The company actively provides opportunities for professional and personal growth through training programs, mentorship initiatives, and avenues for career advancement. This investment in employees has been instrumental in my progress. Transparent Leadership: The leadership here is transparent and approachable.

Cons

Workload Intensity: While the company offers growth opportunities, the workload can be demanding at times. Balancing responsibilities may become challenging, impacting the work-life balance. Limited Remote Work Options: In today's dynamic work environment, a more flexible remote work policy could enhance employee satisfaction and well-being, especially considering the changing norms in the professional world.

Pros

Working at Swoon has been so rewarding. The work culture is a testament to its values. It's not just about the tasks; it's about the people. The supportive and collaborative environment encourages everyone to bring their best selves to the table. Despite being a remote employee and miles away, I've never felt isolated or disconnected. The emphasis on communication and collaboration makes the distance feel insignificant. I've truly met so many lifelong friends at this company that I'm so grateful for.

Cons

Staffing is a grind, no doubt. Not everyone's cup of tea. Yet, if you weather through the initial challenges in the first year, the rewards are immense. The growth and payoff down the line make every hurdle worthwhile.
