Honest review from sales

Pros

You can make great commission if you work hard but a lot of things are out of your control in staffing. Decent PTO and anniversary gifts/incentives are desirable. That's about where my excitement begins and ends. Swoon has gone down hill very fast in the last year as the low reviews show but management is turning a blind eye and acting like we should be fortunate to work here.

Cons

Read the reviews. The only 5 star reviews are so obviously written by management. Obvious favorites when it comes to giving out accounts that need support. Most sales reps don't make it too long, their goals are impossible to reach in a 40 hour work week and training is a joke. CRM is trash and does not sync to email so a lot of time is spent on admin work. I've personally experienced having several different managers to report to over a 5 year tenure and KPIs change often for sales. Beware of PIPs which management think will motivate you but it really just makes you feel unvalued and wanting to leave. Doing your best is never good enough, I'm exhausted.

Pros

1. It's a good group of people who really care. So much about your job is who you work with. Swooners are among some of the best of the best. The team works hard, supports one another, the leadership team is strong and passionate and the company has fun together. This is a very unique dynamic and one that should not be taken for granted. 2. You can make really good money and make a nice life for yourself. The commission plan is the best I have seen in the biz. There are opportunities to grow and promote from within. 3. Hybrid schedule creates a nice work-life balance. You have the opportunity to work remotely more then half the week, and then be with your team in the office for part of the week too. This truly fosters collaboration and working with your team/leaders at Swoon. From a parent perspective, it also grants you the opportunity to be home part of the week. The balance is perfect for sanity and productivity. 4. The grass it not always greener. Quite a few people who have left Swoon have returned or have asked to return. Some of the negativity in the reviews is about the staffing industry- not exclusive to Swoon. Staffing is demanding, fast-paced and competitive. It's not for everyone. But those who excel in that environment will no doubt find success at Swoon.

Cons

1. Staffing is tough. There are tight timelines we need to deliver to and there are metrics that need to be achieved on a monthly basis. This is no different than other sales environments. You get out of it what you put in- and sometimes that puts people off.
