      Pros

      They are the leaders in what they are doing. the whole company is always looking for ways to ge the best. no one will ever catch up.

      Cons

      You better make that money of you will be out on the street. You have to be ready to work. It taught me everything I know and I work this hard because of them.

      Pros

      The only reason to work at this Sylvan is the gratification I get from helping students over their learning hurdles. There is a sense of teamwork that starts with the co-managers and that is a plus.

      Cons

      The pay rate at my Sylvan is low- after3 years i am making $12 an hour. Sylvan's recent adaption of CAI had been poorly implemented, and that affects my overall job satisfaction. The lessons are repetitive. The lesson layouts don't appear to have designed by graphic professionals. Some exercises are poorly written. And, worst of all, there are too many content, calculation, and typographical errors. In short, the clients are not getting good value for the $50 per hour they are paying.

      Heavy emphasis on up-selling. High turn over. Low salary. Inconsistent policy. Limited room for growth.
