Pros

None. Came to this company because of the opportunity and money. Worst decision in my career was coming to Symbotic.

Cons

Infrastructure constantly is broken and needs repair. Code base is garbage and full of bugs. Upper management could care less about their employees. Fired a bunch of people and then forced the rest of us to work 16 hour days. If you didn’t work the 16 hours, you were harassed and threatened. Management will threaten you with your job. If you complain to HR about the threats and toxic culture, they will do absolutely nothing. This leads to management doing whatever they want without consequences. I honestly don’t know how they haven’t been sued yet for their work place environment and forcing employees to work 16 hour days.

Pros

None, it is a horrible place. The free lunch and breakfast is the same stuff every week, gets to the point you go out and pay for lunch or bring from home.

Cons

1. Work environment has gone from cubicles to open concept, rows upon rows of small tables (not even a desk) in a large noisy room. Impossible to concentrate with all the teams meetings going on all day. 2 Took away accrued vacation, so as they are currently have large layoffs they don't have to payout vacation time. 3. Offered stock to all employees and optional stock purchase thru payroll, but laying everyone off before they are vested for being able to benefit. 4. Management constantly hired, fired, demoted and/or leave. 5. No iso certification, so no regulations or procedures on how things should be done. This leads to poor work quality and ethics. 6. Decided to outsource manufacturing so that is the a large part of who is being laid off, but layoffs affecting all departments. 6. For a company that is supposed to be successful and just went public, they seem to be doing everything they can to make the people they don't layoff want to quit.

Pros

- Cutting edge technology at the time - Great team of engineers

Cons

- New management completely dissolved any chance of this company succeeding - Lack of work/life balance, you are expected to be a yes man and work weekends - New management has grown to be pencil pushers and micromanagers - Performance reviews are a way to blame the engineers and will be scaled down (I'm completely serious) as well as their raise. That way, they have leverage to justifiably fire you in the future - Management does not want to fix the product but push it out the door so they can collect their bonus checks - The Symbotic "featured reviews" are clearly written by HR to fill the first page of only positive reviews, but when you scroll down by date, you will see the whole truth and reviews that match the one I'm writing. - I cannot exaggerate the amount of talent that has walked out the door because of this new management and continue to do so - All real architecture work is being done offshore so do what you will with that information - Salary is well below industry standard
