From Erin Woltz, VP Talent Management: Thank you for sharing your feedback and leaving us a five-star review. Creating an inclusive and supportive workplace where all employees feel like they belong and are empowered is foundational to our company culture. I am glad to know you feel valued, supported and celebrated. Being remote-first we understand how difficult it can sometimes be to build connection with colleagues, which is why we offer multiple ways to get involved around Symetra. We encourage you to attend sessions hosted by our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), seek volunteer opportunities with our Community team or visit Project Marketplace to collaborate on projects outside of your role to further your development.

RETIREMENT NB NEEDS A REVAMP

Pros

Benefits and remote work are the only things I can think of.

Cons

Pay - they often stress that the pay is competitive but many long-time employees are still on the low to mid pay grade. Poor management - Favoritism lingers within retirement NB because of lazy and poor work quality employees are never held accountable for not pulling their end of the weight which leads to a lack of motivation from others. Favorited employees are given PTO privileges despite rules in place which limits how many people can be out at the same time. Management will ignore or answer vaguely on what they don't want to discuss or address.
