      Solid company - great people, great technology, but not a lot of room for personal growth or advancement.

      Pros

      Tenured staff, solid products, good culture where employees are valued, minimal politics, Employees have been there a long time because it's a good place to work where one can balance personal and professional life. They have a leadership position in many of their products and when they make a customer commitment, they live up to it.

      Cons

      There is very little opportunity for advancement or growth. People at Synopsys stay in their roles forever and there is very little that changes from an organizational perspective. Sometimes the company's overly conservative culture limits creativity and out of the box thinking.

      Best and greatest leading company in Electronics Design Automation field. Good infrastructure and facilities, good payroll, nice persons. Well-developed internal R&D environment, stable and organized.

      Cons

      Most managers and directors are too senior for innovation, making strategies stable and conservative.

      Pros

      Flexible work hours. Cutting edge technologies. Fair pay.

      Cons

      difficult to advance, competition is fierce. Lots of acquisitions so the payroll got big that caused to cut budgets right and left. No stock options unless you are a super star or executive/director. Work can get boring at times. Hardly getting a decent pay raise to keep up with inflation.
