      Pros

      - Technically oriented company - Extremely high quality mid and upper management - Very stable - Company is fiscally conservative with excellent balance sheet.

      Cons

      - It has always been a little heavy on the bureaucracy for the size of the company - salary growth has been stagnant relative to other industries. - EDA is no longer a "growth market" - so not very dynamic in terms of "new opportunities".

      Good place to work, with highly talented folks around but unless you try a lot you won't learn more apart from your job.

      Pros

      Good place to groom your know-how on Electronic Design Automation on the whole. Management treats employees very nicely with flexible timing and virtually no micro-managing!

      Cons

      The down side, I could think of is, basically you are more pressure and tend to be so focused and fail to get bigger picture of the problem you are solving
