Pros

1. You get to drive around all day. So if you like sitting in traffic then maybe this is your place.

Cons

1. Company lies to employees and clients. Tells them it will take 30 minutes instead of 90 for you to drive there. Then client yells at you. 2. No help from anybody. If you ask for answers they get mad or treat you like an idiot. 3. At other MSP you drive maybe 100 miles a week. Here you go 100's of miles each day. In major metro area. Good luck having time to fix anything. 4. Zero communication or feedback. Most passive aggressive & useless managers you ever saw. If you screw up they glare at you or even laugh like they are 10 years old. 5. Managers are a clique who can do no wrong. The new person is always the stupid one and they throw you under the bus for everything. 6. No training or growth. Everyone wants to leave this place. Your client will hate you and you will only learn by working there until you can not take it anymore. 7. Synoptek does not care about its employees or clients or anybody!!! They lie so that they lose customers and lose good people but they don't care because they will just find new ones. I would not recommend them to a person who killed my dog!

This company really seems to care about its greatest assets - people

Pros

Great benefits, and an HR department that seems to delight in adding more whenever things are going well for the company.

Cons

Unless you're one of the "in" crowd, there's not a lot of opportunity for either lateral or upward moves. The company has grown extremely rapidly, even through the recession, but most of that seems to be through mergers and acquisitions, rather than actual organic growth.

Great HR Manager, Good Management

Pros

The HR manager is top notch and takes care of the employees. Small company feel. Management is laid back. Clients are interesting and work is usually low stress. Boise office had weekly BBQs. Free soda and snacks.

Cons

Neither "hard work" or "slacking off" is appropriately recognized. There was one employee that consistently cheated on his hours and everyone knew it. He was often only in the office 6-7 hours a day but logged over 40 hours per week. Many of us formally complained to management, but since he was (dishonestly) billing a lot of time to the client, they didn't care. Alternatively, others that were actually putting in real overtime hours and being honest with their logging were often not rewarded, nor recognized appropriately for their efforts.
