Thank you for the important role you played in serving clients, and thank you for your positive feedback on the firm’s culture and management. While overtime is necessary at times in our client-servicing departments, we recognize and value our associates’ goals and needs in life and aim to offer flexibility to help associates find balance and thrive. Regarding compensation, we strive to ensure that all of our associates are compensated fairly and equitably at the time they join and throughout their careers at the firm. Bonuses and salary adjustments are determined based on organizational, business unit, and individual performance, which vary year to year.

Pros

Decent benefits and 401k, not much else to offer

Cons

Leadership lacks real world experience, most leaders have never worked outside of the organization, and it shows. Advisors are forced to sell cookie-cutter financial planning solutions to clients that don’t need planning. Many clients have already retired and have more than they need, and yet are sold planning solutions they do not need at a cost of 50 bps.

Thank you for sharing your concerns. We regret to read your characterization of our practices, which doesn’t align with how we strive to do business. We take pride in the solutions we offer clients. Retirement planning and investing are complex and require the coordination of many key decisions. That’s where our financial advisors are well positioned to offer our clients support in developing personalized strategies. If you did not have the opportunity to participate in an exit interview, we invite you to email glassdoor@troweprice.com to set up time to share your feedback with HR.
