Pros

Opportunity to grow within the company, the internal job site is fairly transparent and gives seekers a fair chance in seeing what's out there. Also ability to take part in the employee share plan is crucial, there is no maximum to how much you can contribute so they are basically throwing money at you.

Cons

Stale leadership and outdated technology, tools used for investing are frustrating slow and major improvements could be made to bring reporting data to clients more user-friendly. Navigating the passwords on each program is also a major downside to the IT infrastructure, using over ten passwords for each system is cumbersome.

Pros

Quick advancement if you want it. Great way to get a title onto your first resume. People are friendly for the most part. Full time employees receive 24 days off per year to start (see below for reason why). Flexible place to work if your in school. Part time plus lets you do 30 hours a week and get benefits (which are inexpensive).

Cons

Pay here is tough to swallow. They are open 361 days a year which equates to weekend shifts and working holidays other banks and gov't receive off. Management is not always the most professional. Tuition reimbursement could be more.

Pros

You can feel proud to work for such a high growth bank. The people are friendly. Everyday is different. Good customer service is the main focus and not meeting quotas (at least not yet). As a CSR information is always available. The WAG is helpful. Compared to other banks TD Commerce Bank will offer more in compensation than Chase, NorthFork/Capital One, Bank of America, and all local midsize banks. I don't know the fate of MR C but it was nice to have him around. I trust Penny Arcade will stick around. And maybe Mr C will go Green. Good bye old Commerce.

Cons

It is difficult to move up in the company. There compensation is better than other banks but gives low raises. Their % raise increase is a mere 4% which is standard for a big company like Commerce. They don't offer Bonus's or salary to small time workers. Overtime is managed so it is difficult for those who want to make more $. The worst part of the job is GREETING. Oh how much i hated to greet. Yes it helps the customer find its way to the line and sit to wait for Customer service than to run up to them.
