Pros

The atmosphere in the stores was generally a fun one. The ever-changing cellular industry is one in which boredem is generally not a problem. Justin Burford was a good person to work with.

Cons

Very low pay. Very little direction or training. The owner is a combination of comically inept, exceptionally arrogant, and disconnected from what is actually happening in the stores/industry. His priorities are in other places.

Pros

Company culture is attractive at first. If you're willing to convince people to buy things that they probably don't need you can make decent money in commission. Every day is a new challenge. It can be rewarding to help out customers who come in upset and walk out smiling.

Cons

Upper management can be very clique-y and condescending. HR doesn't know the meaning of confidentiality so don't go to them with your issues. Numbers game mentality. Compensation is not high enough for what is expected, and is not at all in line with industry standards. There is no such thing as consistent scheduling. The job will take over your life if you let it. No time for family/personal life. This company used to offer annual performance based wage increases, and no longer do. So you get hired in at minimum wage and are expected to sell sell sell to make all your money in commission. Didn't hit your monthly targets? Minimum wage is all you get for a position you'd make double hourly anywhere else. You'll get paid more selling an otterbox than you will any smartphone. Avg smartphone commission is $3. This company just closed it's weakest store because they couldn't keep it staffed. They're cutting costs wherever they can and many stores are underperforming. A company which was quickly growing at one time is now shrinking.
