Pros
The scope of learning is really good, if you network and ask for help. There are a lot of knowledgeable people on the floor, who can help you out. The work is mostly good and challenging. The focus is mostly on Development and Enhancement rather than Support. There is also a strong emphasis on learning new skills, and attending and presenting sessions for new tools. Open communication with managers. Regular feedback from the manager / lead and brownie points for good performance. The compensation is GOOD. Good work life balance. It is expected that you should NOT need to work extra hours. The work environment depends on your mindset. You may find it as a peaceful place to work, with good and knowledgeable company, or dull and drab.
Cons
Micromanagement, if your performance is not up to the expectations of your manager. Work from Home available, but it is a bit of a challenge to get them approved. The HR Team is a little too active (or, I am lazy and introverted) :)
