      Pros

      The company is a good company and the compensation isn’t bad either. The people that you work with are generally the same time of people so generally everyone gets along. The bad people can’t cut it and generally end up quieting. There is a real team attitude with TEK, and if something is going wrong or someone is having a hard time everyone tries to come along side and help them out. Management can range from one boss to the other, but over all they really seem that they want you to succeed It is a good atmosphere to work in.

      Cons

      BIG drinkers, good ol’ boys club, promotions at times are due to friendship not who is the best for the job.

      Great experience but there is life outside of TEK

      Pros

      TEK prides itself on customer relationship building and customer intimacy. They taught us to be very high touch, very engaged and involved with our contractors & clients and to develop & train the next generation of TEK folks. It's a very collaborative, high energy, hard working group of people. The training cannot be compared to any other staffing agency. TEK devotes a lot of time & money in their recruiters & sales people. If you ever are thinking of entering the staffing world, TEK is a great place to get started. With the fast paced work place, the model to always address your issues & gripes immediately, and the recruiter & sales model... you develop very close relationships with your co workers soon after.

      Cons

      CONS: They do not invest enough in their senior level producers, not the ones that are bestfriends with the "right people" but the ones that are really producing & making the office money & building the best relationships out there. TEK needs to stop hiring just to meet numbers. Quality has got to be put as a priority - not quantity. There is not a good work/life balance. They work you hard, but that's what has built TEK's repuation within the staffing industry. Many TEK folks now have their own families. Having a family or having extra curriculum activities to tend to right after work is not as supported. The lack of community service & involvement. This company makes a lot of money - and so do those that work there. Very little effort is made from HR to promote these things.

      Pros

      The best reason to work for TEKsystems is to get great training. You will learn IT Staffing from one of the best technical recruiting firms in Northern America. At TEKsystems, they do a great job of creating a team environment. They give you all of the training and resources to be successful. As far as tools, they have the best tools available to a Recruiter. If you are not successful with TEKsystems, it is not because of training or tools. I would recommend anyone who wants to see if IT Staffing is the right career for them to get a job at TEKsystems.

      Cons

      Once you have developed the skills to be a good at IT Staffing, TEKsystems does not pay market rate for experience talent. They are not very flexible with how they do business internally or externally. It is either the TEKsystems way or nothing. If you disagree with them, they will do whatever it takes to shut you up. Instead of embracing their senior Account Managers and Recruiters, they consistently tell them they are luck to work for them. They are the "fast food" version of IT Staffing. I think it is a great place to learn the business, but you are much happier once you leave.
