Pros

Great Training Stay for one year and get out (Makes yourself more marketable) Great company to put on your resume Teaches you how to become a professional quickly

Cons

50K once you hit 3K in spread. Could take 5 to 10 months on average. 38K until then. They throw you into a skill set you may not reach your full potential in Extremely political company and upper management is the only people that make money. There are three offices full of recruiters all recruiting on the same positions so very high competition. No upward movement in the downtown office. They will put you through the sales program for months and there is a good chance you won't be promoted. You need to have roughly 9 to 13 contractors at a time to make commission They do a great job at feeding information to you that is not always true. Sounds good but is not a reality. " TEK Kool-Aid" The company is too large so they don't actually care about your growth as a professional you can be replaced very quickly. 10 hour work days. They say 8 to 5pm but they want you in at 7:30 til 5:30 everyday even if there are no positions If there are no positions to work on they tell you to remain proactive and usually blame recruiters and delivery for not producing. Account managers don't get much blame. Account managers who shouldn't be there and don't bring in business end up staying. (Back to no Growth)

Pros

Many office locations, so opportunities can be found around the southeastern US.. Access to their Skillport site if you are inclined to self-study and want to learn new skills or freshen older ones.

Cons

I was forewarned, but chose to take a chance anyway. Fortunately, I only have a week left as I write this. Never think that you are more than a paycheck to them. No benefits, no paid time off, no raises, no reimbursement for achieving vendor certifications or credentials on your own, not much regular contact once you are placed. You will seldom hear from your either your recruiter or your account manager unless there is a problem, and sometimes not even then!. Don't expect support if something does go wrong - your work site pays them, not you, so you are expendable. The person that referred me to them still has not received the referral fee they were promised. Good luck when your contract ends!

Pros

No pros to explain about this company at all. I didn't like how they treated me for a year and a half. Also they need more benefits with their contractors.

Cons

First of all I would like to say that this company does not take care of their employees financially or beneficially. I was on a temporary contractor sub contracted through TEK and Leidos. I worked for Leidos but got paid through TEK. I know for a fact that my contract cost 150k to be a CHCS/AHLTA administrator for the 2 medical programs that all military medical personnel use. They only paid me 34k yearly out of that 150k contract. Low balling your employees is pathetic! I didn't get any overtime, no paid leave, no holiday pay or even paid leave. 6 months into the job I try to argue with my recruiter for more money. Only getting paid $18 an hour is ridiculous for the responsibility and duties I had with this job. I had the power to grant access as a database administrator to active duty air force members and civilians ranging from contractors, any GS level and ranks from E1-E9 and O1-O6. Not to mention air force medical personnel is the hardest most whiny people to work with because they don't understand IT and the process of fixing or granting access. So I didn't tell my recruiter that I got a new job and just left them hanging. I now get paid $36 an hour working a field service tech position for CSRA. A WAY BETTER COMPANY WHO TAKES CARE OF THEIR EMPLOYEES BETTER THAN TEK!!!! HAHAHA
