Pros

Great training that will lead to success in any type of sales, etc. The entire office will also critique you on almost every activity you perform so you get pretty accustomed to accepting criticism and also positive feedback; the amount of cold calling and lengthy in-person meetings with strangers will also make you totally unafraid to perform the functions of the job which are often fairly uncomfortable. You can make a LOT of money doing this job, which is a pro for sure, but for me, this pro came with more negatives than other positives

Cons

No work life balance. They consistently tell you that a work life balance is very important to them, but the necessities to perform the job at a level that will actually make you the type of money you are seeking (and keep you employed) make it impossible to have any type of work life balance. I worked about 65 hours a week. I found several "key players" in our office fairly if not mostly unethical in their dealings. It was very frustrating, and the whole team is consistently trying to indoctrinate you into their "company" so to bring it up is not well received. There were some straight shooting people in the office, but they were not popular among the rest of the office for the most part.

Pros

Great place to get your start in sales. TEKsystems offers a lot of training, and has an awesome culture. Definitely a work hard, play hard environment. The competitive environment really drives business and creates a sense of urgency to close. You are constantly pushed to do better and exceed expectations. Coworkers are genuinely invested in your success, and hold you accountable to hit your goals. Whether you spend your career at TEKsystems or use it as a stepping stone, it will create a ton of opportunity for you.

Cons

Micromanagement can be overbearing at times, but it is a sales organization, so numbers matter above everything else. As long as you are willing to put in the work, and win over the trust of Account Managers, it won't be an issue.

Pros

As a recent college graduate, you will be surrounded by people your age so the possibility of making friends is about the only pro I can possibly think of.

Cons

I was super excited to accept a job at TEKsystems corporate office which was named #43 on FORTUNE magazine’s “100 Best Companies to Work For” list for 2015. I was a successful college graduate and the worst decision I made post grad was accepting a job at TEK. Honestly, if TEK is one of the best companies to work for I don't even want to know how people are treated in companies that aren't on this list. For the first couple of months all I would hear is "It will get better..." I can assure you, IT WON'T. You will fail under the current leadership (or lack thereof), you will be walking on egg shells every day, you will wake up miserable having to go to work and you will leave work miserable. This is not the entry level job for anyone that wants development. This is a quote from my senior manager, "Overtime is not required, but it kind of is." You will not have a healthy work life balance, life actually sucks working at the corporate office as a BOA. You make $16 an hour, its not worth it.
