      Terrible Benefits, Bad Rules

      Pros

      The TEK System staff are extremely friendly, easy to deal with people.

      Cons

      1. Extremely expensive health care plan that covers very little 2. Zero 401K matching 3. Very stingy with leave time 4. You can't take earned leave until you have been there for 3 months. 5. Holidays come out of your total yearly pay, instead of being in addition to it 6. Zero parking reimbursments.

      Pros

      I worked at Teksystems for over 3 years and it was great place to get entry level recruiting experience. For the most part people are there to help you and teach you how to recruit. I made lot of friends during the process and the company helped me grow both professionally and personally.

      Cons

      Teksystems has almost no room to growth and each office only has two roles. Either you are a recruiter or an account manager. When it comes to work life balance there is none because to be successful you have to do 60 hr work weeks to build out your clients. They will try to tell you that the culture has changed but there were several times where you will feel shame because you left early. For me I was actually reaching my bonus quarterly and I was consistently going above and beyond. However, when I decide to relocate within the company, my boss did everything within her power to stop me from leaving because the company has a high turnover.

      If a recruiter engages you, you can potentially start an assignment quickly.

      Cons

      The recruiters are trained to promise you that they are looking for potential assignments for you well before your end date, but that is seldom true.
