I'm worried if I get a new job, I might have too much free time and go crazy. Workload continues to increase, the head count decreases, and pay is stagnant. Benefits are worse and significantly more expensive than before the takeover with salaried workers paying more than hourly; salary packages do not include/account for many of the benefits no longer offered. Non-union retirement plan changed from pension to enhanced 401k with match, to enhanced 401k no match, to a standard 50% up to 3% max in a matter of 2 years; there were adjustments to salaries made, but it still feels terrible. Changes and cuts are understandable but feel rushed and not well-thought-out, happening before anything is in place or ready, meaning the employees lucky enough to keep a job have to pick up the slack through the change to get to the hopefully easier times ahead.
