Pros

GROWTH: TJ Maxx is fast growing with many locations so plenty of growth opportunities into full-time or management role PAY: Management team pay well ex. I started as out of college 1st time manager at 42k BENEFITS: Package is affordable and highly satisfying from many in company. Never heard complaint on praise from team.

Cons

Too little manpower. TJ Maxx gives you a title but you will be doing way more than that title or job description states. Long works days, your exempt manager so you will work endlessly when freight is high which is during Easter season, back to school season and of course holiday season. Employees are disloyal and turnover is high while company as large as they are arent doing much to give management resources to make work environment less stressful. Each store is becoming more business through this company's success and unlike other Costco or Chickfila , they make no effort to make the customer or associate experience more pleasant. The lines will be long for customers and associates have to tolerate all their anger when its not there fault. Payroll is 90% tight throughout the year and coverage on floor is light and swarms of customers are still coming through the door with alot of demands that we are too short staff to deliver "HIGHLY SATISFIED SHOPPING EXPERIENCE".Too many complants on my part but the worst is the expectations with the TJX Rewards Credit Card Program, its none stop conferences, goals and criticism towards mgmt team to meet then exceed their goal of 5 apps a day. Customer have better card options than what the TJX program offers yet the company hasnt offered any better benefits to help us sell those cards. Overall the expectations are not worth the pay.
