Great Starter Company but (Lies, Theft and Patronizing) I am not a Disgruntled Employee
Pros
Great Starter Company, Great School w/ Focus on Safety, Great Equipment, People are Nice (pay not attention to the man behind the curtain). Bump in Governed Speed from 62 to 65mph. Still not fast enough but I get it, Destination Excellence right? Home Time is Probably one of the Best. The culture is good to or at least they put on a good show. @ the End of the Day I Highly Recommend TMC if you are a new Driver but don't stay there for more than Two years, you can do Better.
Cons
Don't walk on the Grass, Truck Service (if you don't have an engine light on when it goes in for service, you will when you leave). Stay away from dedicated accounts such as Homedepot unless you like being lied to, patronized and having management steal from you aka not pay you for runs, tarp pay, bonuses etc. Driver appreciation week is a joke, they don't appreciate you, it is a ruse to get you to think they care, its how they manage the fence sitters (the people who are on the fence about quitting) tell them you love them and how great they are and they won't leave, sad thing is it works, its how they manage turnover, don't be fooled. Majority of the people who leave TMC end up happier and making more money. This is not my opinion this is the consensus. I just left a dedicated account, it was so bad that since I left to the time I decided to write this approximately three months, they had an additional 10 drivers quit. I would like to think I helped influence this. :-) oh almost forgot, some people will tell me that I am wrong but I have talked to several drivers who feel the company is racist, I can't say I disagree but never saw it first hand.
