Pros

Flexible schedule as long as it does not interfere in the project(s) that you are part of. There is a chain of command but the freedom you are giving to complete your task gives you a feeling of being your own boss. On top of that our benefits are amazing and the amount of vacation time gives you a good balance between spending time with family and work.

Cons

Being such a young and fast growing company we are constantly creating new and ever evolving ways of communication, organization, and processes for success. But in the middle of evolving there is challenges and mistakes you may encounter because a plan or processes to take care of them have not been developed yet. Sometimes this creates some stress when the project is close to deadline. But overall everyone involved in the project is willing to help i haven't dealt with anyone who hasn't been helpful.

Thanks for the feedback! We are very mindful of the potential communication issues that come with growth. Some of these we have experienced and learned from over the last 2 years. Every team member should have a 1:1 every week is key to ensure proper communication as we grow.

Controlling Leadership leads to uncertainty and fear in the ranks High school type politics Large amount of turnover recently This is not a good place to work if you have a family, time demands can be excessive Company seems interested in aggressively trying to sell itself to anyone who is interested

Thank you for the feedback. I agree that we cannot continue to operate the way we did when the company was 1/4 of the size it is today. In 2019, we will be implementing career development for all employees and have brought in outside consultants to assist/educate us on how to roll this out. Also, our theme for 2019 is setting Life Goals, not just Torc goals. Team members should not only be focused on Torc, but Health, Vacation and Community Goals. This should lead to a more balanced team, and empower team leaders to push back on leadership when demands are excessive. Thank you for the candid feedback; we can't get better without it.

Thank you for reviewing your experience at Torc. Engineers should feel empowered to bring up issues/concerns in their weekly 1:1 with their team leads. If any employee feels like their concerns are not being heard, my door is always open and I welcome positive and constructive feedback/suggestions.
