Pros

Good pay and have lots of potential job opportunities. Future for TSMC company, the top one advance semiconductor foundry all over the world, is foreseeable good. No need to worry about company will close down.

Cons

Working atmosphere is tricky, really depends on the department you stay. Work loading is very huge, which make it the top one semiconductor company. I mean from company side, not from workers aspect. I’m not pursing 50:50 work life balance, but here is like 95:5 work and life.

Pros

They pay they gave us as interns is almost double what they pay some of their operational people.

Cons

I was basically told to sit at a cubicle on the top floor all day long. They never issued any work to me, and I never received any tasks or learning plans, no training, not even a introduction to the company.

Thank you for your feedback. TSMC AZ highly values summer interns, and we prepare extensively to ensure all departments have relevant project plans for interns before orientation. These plans are designed to meet specific criteria, enabling interns to gain practical experience and apply the theories they've learned in school. Additionally, each intern is paired with a dedicated buddy who provides guidance and support throughout the internship, helping them successfully complete their projects. To further underscore our efforts to support interns, we also host office hours and informal coffee talks between interns and managers, ensuring that each project is actively supported by department leadership and direct supervisors. If you're open to sharing more about your experience, please feel free to speak directly with the Human Resources representative assigned to your department, or leverage the “Ombudsman System” tool, which can be found within the Employee Voice Channels page.
